Amino Acid Chelated Minerals Manganese is an organic trace mineral feed additive produced by chelating manganese ions with amino acids to form stable, neutral chelate rings. Unlike inorganic manganese sources, this structure protects the mineral from antagonistic interactions in the digestive tract and allows it to be absorbed intact through the amino acid transport pathway — delivering manganese to target tissues with markedly higher efficiency.

Manganese is an essential cofactor in poultry metabolism: it activates enzymes responsible for glycosaminoglycan synthesis in the cartilage matrix, supports the formation of the organic shell matrix, and forms the core of mitochondrial manganese superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD), a first-line antioxidant defense system. Adequate manganese status is therefore directly linked to leg soundness, eggshell strength and the bird's ability to cope with oxidative stress.

Designed for broiler, layer and breeder diets, our chelated manganese is a free-flowing, dust-controlled powder with consistent particle size, uniform distribution in premix and stable performance under pelleting conditions.
